The 2025 Corolla Cross comes standard with front-wheel drive (FWD), but all-wheel drive (AWD) is available across the range. The 2.0-liter Dynamic Force 4-cylinder engine is standard on the 2025 Corolla Cross, and it produces 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque.  

This engine is designed for efficiency. The Environmental Protection Agency rates the 2025 Corolla Cross at 33 MPG on the highway for front-wheel drive models and 31 MPG on the highway for all-wheel drive models.  

Exterior  

With a unique design all its own, the 2025 Corolla Cross is handsome and understated, especially when paired with the available 18-inch machined alloy wheels. Available roof rails allow you to carry bicycles, luggage, canoes, and the like on outdoor excursions, keeping the interior hatch area for coolers, backpacks, and other luggage.   

The LED headlights, with available LED daytime running lights and fog lights, complement the overall styling of the Corolla Cross. They are not only very functional at lighting the road ahead but also attractive, allowing the vehicle to stand out from the crowd of other ordinary crossover SUVs.   

This 2025 Corolla Cross isn’t just a looker; it can take you places you thought impossible. The standard 8.1 inches of ground clearance on gas models and 8 inches for hybrid models will help to ensure you can forge ahead over most obstacles.

Interior

Optional 10-way power-adjustable seats make it an easy place to live during the morning or afternoon commute and a relaxing place to put miles on during summer road trips. On cool mornings, you will enjoy the available heated front seats that will have you feeling warm and ready to take on the day in no time.   

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all trim levels, ensuring you can easily navigate your way around and listen to your favorite music, SiriusXM channels, or audiobooks. Plus, you can take advantage of a three-month free SiriusXM service with your new 2025 Corolla Cross.   

The available moonroof allows plenty of natural light with the shade retracted and plenty of fresh air with the glass open.   

Rear seats can be folded in a 60/40 split, allowing you to carry extra passengers while having longer items fit just fine. However, if you leave the rear seats up, you do have up to 24.0 cubic feet of cargo space available. A power liftgate is standard on all trim levels and can be opened with the key fob or a button on the liftgate itself. You can also adjust the maximum height at which it opens.   

The rear seats have individual vents and two USB-C ports to charge portable devices.   

Technology  

The interior is such a nice place to spend time, and it is undoubtedly better with the available JBL nine-speaker premium audio system.   

All Corolla Cross models have an eight-inch multimedia touchscreen and an optional seven-inch digital gauge cluster. The center console also houses a Qi wireless charging station.   

Toyota Remote Connect allows you to utilize your smartphone or smartwatch by using the Toyota app to start the engine, lock and unlock your doors, and locate your vehicle if you have lost it in a big parking lot. Also available is WiFi Connect, a mobile hotspot that allows you to stay connected even if you are off the grid for the weekend.

Drive Connect can help you navigate where you need to go with Cloud Navigation and Intelligent Assistant. Destination Assist lets you talk to a Live Agent who will direct you to your destination by offering turn-by-turn navigation.   

Service Connect is a wonderful way to stay updated on your vehicle’s service. You can check your mileage, fuel level, and service history. Set maintenance alerts and receive reminders when your vehicle is ready to be serviced again. You can also have those same reminders sent to a preferred dealer to schedule an appointment at your convenience.   

Safety  

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has awarded the Toyota Corolla Cross and Corolla Cross Hybrid the coveted Top Safety Pick+ designation. This designation means the vehicles are among the safest you can purchase, scoring top marks in crash testing and crash avoidance systems, among other things.   

All Corolla Cross models come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 (TSS 3.0), which offers some of the best features in an automobile today. One such feature is Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking. This system gives audible and visual warnings if it detects a stationary object, a person, or other vehicles approaching. It will then apply the brakes if you do not intervene when it believes an accident could occur.
