2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid

Performance    

The 2026 Corolla Cross Hybrid comes standard with electronic all-wheel drive (AWD). Power comes from a hybrid version of the 2.0-liter Dynamic Force 4-cylinder engine. This system includes an electric motor and a battery pack that regains energy through braking and deceleration. An electronic continuously variable transmission drives this efficient system, sending power to all four wheels. The system is robust, with a combined 196 horsepower. However, it is also efficient, returning an EPA rating of up to 45 mph in the city, and 38 on the highway with a combined figure of 42.

All models feature independent MacPherson struts with coil springs and a stabilizer bar in the front. At the rear, all models feature a fully independent sport-tuned double-wishbone multi-link rear suspension with coil springs, trailing arms, and stabilizer bar.

Exterior

The Corolla Cross Hybrid’s new face with the lower integrated body color grille brings to mind the design of the Crown Signa and some new 2026 RAV4 models. It has a clean look that fits well with the attractive and understated appearance of the vehicle. Black pillars between the side windows create a long, cohesive look, while the extended bright trim above appears stylish and creates a division that allows for an available contrasting black roof with some colors. Available roof rails let you carry bicycles, luggage, canoes, and similar items on outdoor adventures, keeping the interior hatch area free for coolers, backpacks, and other gear.

The LED headlights and taillights are available with LED daytime running lights and fog lights, and complement the overall styling of the Corolla Cross Hybrid. They are not only very functional at lighting the road ahead, but also attractive, allowing the vehicle to stand out from the crowd of other ordinary crossover SUVs.

Size is important when you’re looking to buy an SUV, and the 2026 Corolla Cross Hybrid has it where it matters, but is still small enough to drive around city streets and park easily.

Interior   

We all want our daily drivers to be a nice, quiet, and comfortable space, and the 2026 Corolla Cross Hybrid delivers just that. Optional 10-way power-adjustable seats make it easy to enjoy your morning or afternoon commute and a relaxing vehicle for summer road trips. On cool mornings, you’ll appreciate the available heated front seats and heated steering wheel, which are now standard on the XSE grade and available on SE. Both features will have you feeling warm and ready to take on the day quickly. The new center console enhances space utility.

The available moonroof lets in plenty of natural light when the shade is retracted and provides fresh air when the glass is open. Rear seats can be folded in a 60/40 split, allowing you to carry a rear passenger or two while still fitting longer items. If you leave the rear seats up, there is up to 21.5 cubic feet of cargo space available.

Technology   

The interior is such a nice place to spend time, and the available JBL nine-speaker premium audio system enhances the experience. Corolla Cross Hybrid features a standard 8-inch multimedia touchscreen with a 7-inch multi-information display within the analog gauges. XSE models are equipped with a 10.5-inch center touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Regardless of screen size, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the center console also houses a Qi wireless charging station for all but the S grade.

Toyota Remote Connect lets you use your smartphone or smartwatch through the Toyota app to start the engine, lock or unlock your doors, and locate your vehicle if you’ve lost it in a large parking lot. Also available is WiFi Connect, a mobile hotspot that keeps you connected even when you’re off the grid for the weekend. If you experience a car accident or car trouble, you can use Safety Connect in your vehicle to access 24/7 Toyota Roadside Assistance or Emergency SOS support. 

Drive Connect can help you navigate where you need to go with Cloud Navigation and Intelligent Assistant. Destination Assist lets you talk to a Live Agent who will direct you to your destination by offering turn-by-turn navigation. 

Service Connect is an excellent way to stay updated on your vehicle’s service. You can check your mileage, fuel level, and service history. Set maintenance alerts and receive reminders when your vehicle is ready to be serviced again. You can also have those same reminders sent to a preferred dealer to schedule an appointment at your convenience. 

Safety   

All Corolla Cross Hybrid models come equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 (TSS 3.0), which provides some of the top safety and driver assistance features available in the industry. One of these features is Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking. This system issues audible and visual alerts if it detects a stationary object, a person, or other vehicles nearby.
