2025 Toyota Corolla Hybrid

Performance  

The Corolla Hybrid features the fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System, available with either front- or all-wheel drive. The powertrain starts with a 1.8-liter DOHC inline-4 combined, which is combined with a 70 kW (93-hp) electric motor up front, with AWD models adding a 30 kW (40.2-hp) motor between the rear wheels. Total system power is 138 horsepower and 156 lb-ft of torque. The system is paired with a CVT, sending power to the front or all four wheels. EPA mpg ratings can vary by grade but can be as high as 53 / 46 / 50 for FWD models and 51 / 44 / 48 for AWD models.  

All Corolla Hybrids have a MacPherson strut front suspension with a stabilizer bar and an independent rear multilink arrangement with a stabilizer bar.  

Exterior  

All Corolla sedans have adopted the aggressive front-end styling that first appeared on the hatchback, featuring headlights blending into a low-profile upper grill with a larger intake below. Blacked-out pillars bring a single head-to-tail shape to the side windows above a high lower body. Body-color mirror caps and door handles give both the sedan and hatchback a refined look. All models are available in the same eight exterior colors, which include:

Interior  

The dash features sweeping lines with soft-touch materials, and a sporty tri-spoke steering wheel greets the driver. All but the LE grade provide passive entry and push-button start. Ambient interior lighting, dual-zone climate control, and heated front seats are all available. The rear seat offers more legroom than the hatchback and can comfortably seat adults. The trunk offers 18 cubic feet of cargo space behind its back seat, which can enlarge by six cubic feet (23 total) if you replace the spare tire with a tire repair kit.  

Technology 

On most models, the dash is anchored by an 8-inch multimedia touchscreen, which features standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility. Standard on the XSE and available on the other Corolla grades is a new 10.5-inch Multimedia screen.   

The Toyota Audio Multimedia system allows dual Bluetooth® phone connectivity. A 30-day/3 GB Wi-Fi Connect trial subscription offers 4G connectivity for up to five devices, turning the car into an AT&T Hotspot. It also can separate Apple Music® and Amazon Music subscriptions with the Integrated Streaming service (30-day trial included). This augments the already robust audio playback ability, which includes HD Radio, USB data, and a SiriusXM 3-month trial subscription.   

Safety and Driver Assistance  

With standard Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) 3.0, all Corollas have an impressive suite of safety and driver assistance technologies that often require upgrades on competing models. TSS 3.0 includes:
